“The Battle” is a multimedia video that I created in order to explore the idea of inner battle, femininity, and the struggles involved with being a woman. Using the imagery of female boxers, I sought to create a short narrative that follows the two boxers preparing themselves to face off against the other. Whether or not the boxers are facing off against themselves, or rather a single boxer preparing to face her inner struggles and “battle” herself is an idea I leave open to viewers.
